Why does this Council insist on building on our green fields?
The majority of the nearly 8,000 houses planned for Binfield and Warfield will be built on green land.
This same Council that so opposed the last Labour Government by crying that they were “destroying our Countryside” are planning to build more homes on green fields than anyone else. Take a look at the chart below showing their record to date. Every year they build more and more on green land.
Is this necessary? The answer is NO. According to one senior Council Official “1,000’s of homes could be built on previously developed land.” The number could be as much as half of the present requirement. So why is this Council insisting on destroying our Countryside?
This year use you vote to stop this nonesense and take Independent action.
